Role: ETL Developer

Job Description
The resource will become an integral part of the DCAS Team, making every problem associated with the platform a problem of their own. They will demonstrate the initiative and critical thinking abilities necessary to resolve all problems and challenges accordingly.
Core Duties:
- Create data mapping and workflows using Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform, and load data into target environments (batch files, databases).
- Create technical design documents and develop test plans for ETL unit testing and integration testing.
- Work and interact with functional and integration teams on architecture and design.
- Tune and optimize ETL batch jobs for performance and throughput.
- Conform to Informatica workflow and mapping standards to ensure consistent development across resources (avoid hard coding, leverage mapplet/reuse concepts).
- Develop ETL workflows and mappings from ODS to Data Warehouse using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Provide development support and mentor junior developers.
- Assist with troubleshooting ETL batch job issues in production, PreProd, QA, and UAT.
- Support infrastructure and development teams.
- Experience in Informatica PowerCenter installation, administration, and configuration is a plus.
- Familiarity with Informatica PowerCenter HTTP Adapter, JMS Adapter, Webservices Hub is beneficial.
This individual will work closely with DHCF and partner agencies to meet their priorities. This position is part of the DC Access System (DCAS) project.

Additional Contract Responsibilities:
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs and business requirements.
- Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems, considering system capacity, limitations, and desired results. Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate into system specifications.
- Provide consultation on complex projects, acting as a top-level contributor/specialist in systems analysis, considering business implications of technology application.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience. PMP certification is a plus.
