Job summary

A prominent tech recruitment firm is seeking an ETL Specialist with extensive experience in upgrading and configuring Informatica, assisting developers, and managing database connectivity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of tools including the creation of users and roles along with strong DBMS skills. This position is based in Reston, VA, offering a duration of 3 months with possible extension. Qualifications

• Experience in upgrading Informatica from 8.6.1 to 9.1.
• Experience in configuring Power Center domain and nodes.
• Experience in applying Hotfixs and configuring LDAP security.
• Experience assisting developers with ETL code issues.
• Experience creating users, groups, roles, and granting privileges.
• Experience creating folders, relational and application connections, and configuring ODBC connectivity.
• Experience registering plug-ins to connect to applications.
• Experience with DBMS (Oracle, DB2, Sybase, SQL Server).

Responsibilities

• Assisting developers with any issues related to ETL code.
• Creating users, groups, and roles, granting privileges.
• Configuring the ODBC connectivity and registration of plug-ins.
• Support developers with ETL code issues and optimization.
• Manage users, groups, roles and privileges in the environment.
• Create connections, folders, and ODBC configurations.
• Register plug-ins to enable application connectivity.
• Work with Oracle, DB2, Sybase, and SQL Server databases.
