Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking an Information System Security Officer to ensure security compliance across systems, leading RMF activities to obtain and maintain ATO. You will work with leads, admins, developers, and testers to load Xacta artifacts, develop SSPs, and respond to ST&E inquiries in a dynamic environment.

The role emphasizes implementing STIGs, managing vulnerabilities, and coordinating with ISSMs and SCAs to uphold regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 9+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; advanced experience may substitute for education.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and enforce security policies to ensure compliance.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and identifying vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and apps.
• Experience creating risk mitigation strategies and monitoring for security breaches.

Responsibilities

• Work with application leads, system admins, database admins, developers, and testers to ensure security compliance and ATO.
• Follow RMF for full/partial test, CONMON, and no-test scenarios.
• Update SSPs, SCTM, STPs, and POAMs in Xacta documentation.
• Load artifacts like STIG checklists and ACAS scans.
• Help implement STIG checklists and remediate scan findings.
• Support security assessment events and respond to questions from ST&E team, ISSMs, and SCAs.
