Job summary

CalSTRS in California invites an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead the Infrastructure portion of the Inflation Sensitive portfolio. You will develop and implement investment strategies across infrastructure and related assets, spanning private and public exposures.

This role requires strong leadership, the ability to present clear investment recommendations, and oversight of risk while driving yield and inflation protection.

Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure and alternative investments.
• Experience preparing investment recommendations and making formal presentations both written and verbal
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
• Ability to effectively analyze information to reach supportable conclusions
• Experience prioritizing and ensuring deadlines are met
• Ability to research and analyze complex issues with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Possession of a degree in business, finance, economics or other closely related field
• Possession of CFA, CAIA or similar professional certification

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement investment program strategies for infrastructure and inflation-sensitive portfolios.
• Monitor a designated portion of the Infrastructure/Inflation Sensitive portfolio.
• Lead transaction underwriting and portfolio management activities.
• Recommend, develop, and implement new investment policies and strategies.
• Contribute to overall investment program decision making.
