Job summary

HRD is an FAA repair station seeking a repair technician to complete repairs and reconstruct survival inflatable units per OEM and FAA procedures. You will read manuals and drawings, select inspection steps, and perform adhesive patches and sewing as required.

The role requires experience with industrial sewing, accurate reading of technical data, and strong attention to detail. You must lift up to 50 lbs and maintain safety and productivity in a clean, organized shop.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial sewing machine operation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, information and technical data.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret data, manuals, or other materials to determine inspection and testing procedures.
• Perform repairs in accordance with OEM specifications and procedures.
• Patch/repair survival inflatables using adhesives and stitching.
• Complete documents and forms relevant to the work task.
• Maintain an organized, safe and productive workspace.

We have offices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Houston Texas, and Valencia California (corporate offices).Job Summary:Under general supervision the repair technician will complete repairs and reconstruct survival inflatable units in accordance to the OEM and FAA written procedures and specifications.Responsibilities:Read and interpret data, manuals, or other materials to determine specification inspection and testing proceduresPerform repairs in accordance with the OEM written specifications and proceduresUtilize a variety of adhesives to patch/repair survival inflatableRemove old adhesive debris, fabricate, and sew tears, rips, or damage to inflatable productsComplete documents and forms applicable to the work task.Maintain working area in an organized and neat conditionObserve and follow all safety rules and policiesMaintain an acceptable level of productivity as determined by department requirements.Requirements:Previous experience in industrial sewing machine operationGood hand-eye coordinationAble to read a tape measureBasic math skillsAttention to detail and thoroughnessMust have the ability to read, write & understand EnglishMust have the ability to read and interpret drawings, information, and technical data.Must have the ability to see details at close range.Physical Requirements:Required to frequently stand, bend, stooping, squatting, pushing/pulling, kneeling and walkingThe employee will intermittently sitFrequently use hands to handle, grasp, squeeze or feel; reach with hands and armsMust see in the normal visual range of the unit with or without correctionHear in the normal audio range with or without correction.Continuously bend, twist, and kneelAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with assistanceSchedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am – 2:30pmBenefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.Retirement savings plan with employer match.Paid time off and flexible work arrangements.Professional development and training opportunities.HRD is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
