Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an IBD-focused GI physician to join the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, dedicating at least half of clinical time to inflammatory bowel disease care. The role includes a shared call schedule (1:5) and integration with a large GI/primary care network.

The package features a base salary of $650,000 with a $50,000 signing bonus, up to $20,000 relocation, a $1,500 monthly training stipend for up to two years, and up to $75,000 in student loan repayment,

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
• U.S. ACGME Residency training in Internal Medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine specializing in IBD or Gastroenterology.
• Active Utah medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Credentialing through Intermountain Health.
• Visa sponsorship reviewed on an individual basis.

Responsibilities

• Practice at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT, with at least 50% time in IBD care.
• Share call schedule; minimum 1:5, with additional call pay for extra shifts.
• Work within a GI department network and participate in conferences and research opportunities.
• Engage in community outreach and rural telehealth programs as available.

Education

About this role:

As a Physician in Gastroenterology, you will join an established Inflammatory Bowel Disease practice that is part of a nationally recognized health system and is Utah’s most extensive health care network, offering top-tier patient care. The expanding multidisciplinary IBD team is led by an IBD Medical Director and includes an IBD Registered Dietitian, an IBD RN, and a comprehensive care model. The practice is experiencing significant growth and has an excellent tertiary-referral base to the IBD clinic, comprised of employed and affiliated PCPs, GI providers and colorectal surgeons.

• This position includes a starting base salary of $650,000 / annually,


• a $50,000 starting bonus,


• up to $20,000 in relocation assistance,


• a $1,500 monthly training stipend for up to two years


• and up to $75,000 in student loan repayment when applicable


• future AEC opportunities are also available

• You will practice at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, choose a subspecialist gastroenterology track in IBD and will dedicate at least 50% of clinical care time to IBD care.


• Your call schedule is shared with group and expected at minimum of 1:5 w/ additional call pay for extra call shifts


• This clinic is supported by a network of affiliated, Intermountain Medical Group primary care and specialty care physicians and a 1:2 APP to Physician ratio



• The GI department holds monthly GI educational conferences including IBD case conference, GI multidisciplinary conferences, annual gastroenterology conferences




• You will have opportunities to be involved in community outreach programming, rural telehealth program and opportunities to be involved in clinical research, if desired
