Job summary

UW Medicine invites applications for its twelve-month, ASHP-accredited PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency. The program provides hands-on inpatient ID consult experience, outpatient hepatitis/HIV clinics, and antimicrobial stewardship rotation opportunities.

Residents develop and monitor therapies, conduct research, and teach students and pharmacists while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Open house events and PPS participation are part of the recruitment activities.

Qualifications

• ASHP-accredited PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency at UW Medicine.
• Twelve months of training to develop and refine therapeutic interventions for ID patients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor antimicrobial therapy for patients with infectious diseases.
• Participate in teaching students, residents, and pharmacists during the residency.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team on clinical rotations.
• Engage in the Center for Stewardship in Medicine (CSiM) program and provide lectures/coaching.
• Contribute to research projects aimed at improving pharmaceutical care for ID patients.
