Job summary

UTMB Health in League City and Clear Lake, Texas, invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases to provide inpatient ID consultations and participate in outpatient clinics.

The division includes physician-scientists and educators; candidates should have MD/DO, completed ID fellowship, board-certified or eligible, and a strong commitment to academic medicine and mentorship.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease fellowship.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.
• Strong commitment to patient care and academic medicine with demonstrated ability to mentor trainees.
• U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Provide ID inpatient consultation coverage at the Clear Lake Campus.
• Establish 1–2 weekly half-day outpatient clinic sessions at League City and/or Clear Lake campuses.
• Supervise students, residents and/or fellows in inpatient consultations and outpatient clinics.
