Job summary

The University of Miami Health System is seeking an Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases. This position combines clinical care in both outpatient and inpatient settings with research and education within the Department of Medicine.

The role emphasizes teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and may include leading educational or administrative projects within the division or department.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and completed infectious diseases fellowship from ABIM recognized program.
• Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
• Florida medical license or eligibility; Board Certified/Board Eligible for Infectious Diseases.

Responsibilities

• Active clinical practice in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Educate medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Maintain flexible division clinical duty scheduling.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Participate in hospital/university committee work.
• Engage in academic research in infectious diseases.
• Provide leadership for academic projects in education, quality and safety or division/department administration.
