Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Residency completed; board certification or eligibility; medical staff privileges.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, prevent, or treat diseases and provide prescribed treatments.
• Provide care regardless of patient ability to pay or background.
• Complete accurate medical records with CPT and ICD codes.
• Provide after-hours call coverage with other physicians as needed.
• Comply with standard medical practice, and payer/Regulatory rules including Medicare/Medicaid and Joint Commission standards.
• Maintain continuing medical education to meet licensing requirements.
• Participate in non-revenue activities to support Prisma Health's mission and teaching goals.
• Assist in proposals for managed care contracts and quality initiatives.
