Job summary

CompHealth is recruiting for a hospital-based physician staffing role in Georgia with alternating call weeks. You will cover 24-hour inpatient shifts during call weeks and clinic shifts during non-call weeks, with 10–25 patients seen on call and prompt beeper responses.

Certification in ACLS and BLS is required, and familiarity with IV medications is expected. CompHealth handles housing, travel, credentialing, and licensing to support providers.

Qualifications

• Hospitals require alternating call weeks and non-call weeks.
• Call week includes a 24-hour inpatient shift.
• Non-call weeks: clinic Mon–Thu, 2–3 AM or PM shifts.
• 10–25 patients seen on average during call.
• Beeper call with 10–20 minute response time.
• Familiarity with intravenous medications required.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous inpatient coverage during alternated call weeks.
• Support clinic coverage on non-call weeks as scheduled.
• Respond promptly to urgent calls and coordinate with hospital teams.
