Job summary

IDCare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Infectious Disease Physician to join our team at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold and St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

This role blends academic and community practice within Rutgers-affiliated teaching hospitals and a thriving medical center, with a collegial team of over 60 ID specialists. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient consults, antibiotic stewardship, collaboration with hospitalists,

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Infectious Disease fellowship.
• Board Certified or Eligible in Infectious Disease.
• Eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey.
• Strong clinical acumen and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation for infectious diseases at assigned hospitals and clinics.
• Participate in antibiotic stewardship initiatives.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and other specialists in the management of complex infections.
• Engage in academic and teaching opportunities with residents, students, and fellows.
• Contribute to quality improvement programs across the health system.
