Job summary

National Wound Physician Group in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Infectious Disease Physician focused on wound management. You will provide bedside wound care across post-acute settings, with weekly wound rounds, using cutting-edge wound care modalities and our proprietary EMR.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7am–4pm) with 4–5 days per week for full-time, no night or weekend duties, and a supportive training environment including paid onboarding and wound care fellowship

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted MD/DO license in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
• No nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Full-time work: Monday - Friday (7am-4pm) or part-time available.
• Deliver bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at facilities and utilize our wound care protocols and EMR.
• Mobile practice visiting facilities within a 40–60 mile radius, treating ~20–30 patients per day.

W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits.

Paid Training

Paid Training is provided during onboarding + 6 months wound care fellowship

Practice Overview

Physicians deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.

Our physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.

Part-time role is a minimum of 3 days per week. Full time role is 4 - 5 days per week.

This is a mobile practice: The physicians visit facilities in a 40 – 60 mile radius of practice location.

Our physicians visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.

Clinical documentation is at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using our proprietary wound specific EMR.
