Job summary

Vohra Wound Physicians seeks a Part-Time Infectious Disease Physician in Charlottesville, VA to provide wound care across facilities in a mobile practice. Expect no nights, no call, and no weekend duties with a typical 45-hour full-time equivalent schedule.

You will visit 2-3 facilities daily, see 20-30 patients, and participate in ongoing wound training. The role includes paid training, affiliation with a national wound physician group, and opportunities to advance through a wound fellowship.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state of practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside wound care in the post-acute care setting (SNF/LTACH).
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day; treat ~20–30 patients daily.
• Operate within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location.
• Documentation at point of care using proprietary EMR.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.

Practice Overview

• Full time work: Monday - Friday (7am-4pm) or part time available.
• No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities.
• Physicians deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.
• Our physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Part-time role is a minimum of 3 days per week. Full time role is 4 - 5 days per week.
• This is a mobile practice: The physicians visit facilities in a 40 - 60 mile radius of practice location.
• Our physicians visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
• Clinical documentation is at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using our proprietary wound specific EMR.
• Paid Training is provided during onboarding + 6 months wound care fellowship
• W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship is available)
