Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Infectious Diseases outpatient team in Winston-Salem, NC. The role emphasizes team-based patient care, outpatient examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.

Responsibilities include developing patient care plans, ordering labs, interpreting results, and collaborating with the medical team. BLS/ACLS are required, with NC licensure and board certification as PA or ACNP.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree preferred
Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, or NC Board of Nursing license as NP
Board certified as PA by NCCPA or ACNP by ANCC/AANP
Prior clinical experience preferred
BLS and ACLS certification required

Responsibilities

Participates in team-focused patient care in outpatient clinic settings
Determines appropriate patient care plans using medical decision-making
Collaborates with medical team for team-based care
Orders and interprets labs and diagnostic procedures; explains procedures to patients
Performs department-specific procedural skills
May participate in research projects and precept students/learners
Upholds organizational mission and cultural commitments
Performs other related duties as needed
