Job summary

Advocate Health invites experienced APPs to join the Infectious Disease Team in Kenilworth, North Carolina. 100% adult medicine in a hybrid position with both inpatient and outpatient duties, Monday–Friday 8–5, no nightly on-call required; infusions may occur on Saturdays/Sundays as needed.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of APP experience, be licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina, and hold NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants or a Master's/Doctorate in Nursing

  • Physician Assistant: NCCPA certification required.
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.

Responsibilities

Job Details:
  • 100% Adult medicine; Hybrid position
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM clinic schedule
  • Weekday hours only
  • No night call required (Saturday/Sunday only as needed for infusion)
  • Setting includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
  • Practice model includes 19 physicians, 3 APPs, 7 RNs, 4 CMAs, 6 Ryan White support staff, and 5 clerical staff
Who You Are:
  • Experienced APP with at least 3 years of experience required
  • Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited program with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. Must hold a valid RN license with acute care board certification, and certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body
  • Must hold or be eligible for licensure in North Carolina
  • New grads will not be considered at this time
