Job summary

Genesis in the United States is seeking an Infection Preventionist RN to lead infection prevention and control efforts within our nursing center. The role supports new hire orientation and develops IPC programs.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing with active RN licensure, have at least three years of nursing experience, and be able to work flexible hours including evenings and nights. IPC training within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• Complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• A minimum of three years of full-time nursing experience is required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to meet evening/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support new hire orientation by providing infection prevention and control training for newly hired employees.
• Create and implement education programs in response to identified infection control needs identified through QAPI, rounding, center quality measures, or other means.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain the IPCP to ensure the quality of patient care as it relates to the investigation, control, and prevention of infections and communicable diseases within the nursing center.
