Job summary

Fundamental is seeking Infection Preventionist Nurses (RN or LPN/LVN) in Cumberland, MD to provide educational opportunities and foster safe, high-quality patient care within a supportive team.

We offer sign-on bonuses of up to $7,500 for RN and $5,000 for LPN, with a start-by date of October 31, 2026.

Salary ranges from $36.50 to $39.50 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities in a hospital-like setting.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN/LVN licensure required.
• 3-5 years long-term care nursing experience preferred.

Position Summary

The Infection Preventionist Nurse (RN or LPN/LVN) provides necessary educational and learning opportunities within a supportive environment that will assist personnel in gaining knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively.

Posted Salary Range

USD $36.50 - USD $39.50 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for coordinating and developing learning experiences that support quality care consistent with standards, policies and procedures of the facility.
• The Infection Preventionist Nurse also monitors the activities of nursing personnel to ensure quality care that complies with state, federal, local, and facility standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator.
• Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.
• 3-5 years of long term care nursing experience preferred.
• Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing RN or LPN/LVN, BSN preferred with a valid RN license.
• Reliable transportation required
