Qualifications

• B.S. degree in a related field.
• 2 years of clinical or healthcare experience.
• Familiar with Excel, NHSN, and similar tools.
• Ability to analyze data and present findings.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to pursue CIC certification if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates the organizational infection prevention program.
• Conducts NHSN-aligned surveillance of hospital-acquired infections.
• Records and reports communicable diseases per local/nederal requirements.
• Develops annual surveillance plans and risk assessments.
• Investigates outbreaks using epidemiologic methods.
• Contributes to infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Translates infection data to leadership and committees.
• Reviews sterilization and disinfection policies for compliance.
• Assists with IPC construction risk assessments for projects.
• Rounds on units to ensure policy adherence and provide coaching.
• Collaborates with IT to create actionable electronic infection reports.
• Pursues professional growth and upholds competencies.
