Dignity Health - Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, California seeks a Program Manager of Infection Prevention to lead infection prevention and surveillance activities across the facility, ensuring protection from disease transmission and compliance with regulations.
The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, current guidance from infection prevention societies, and CIC certification within 24 months of hire.
As our Program Manager of Infection Prevention, you will help our facility’s patients, personnel, and visitors maintain a safe environment by coordinating all infection prevention and surveillance activities so they can benefit from a healthcare setting protected from the transmission of diseases and infections.
Every day you will assess, develop, and operationalize programs, policies, and procedures to address the infection prevention needs of the facility. You will be expected to conduct regular surveillance rounds, lead root cause analyses for healthcare-associated infections, ensure compliance with federal, state, and CMS regulations, and provide expert consultation and education to clinical staff and hospital committees.
To be successful in this role you must possess strong analytical and communication skills, maintain current knowledge of infection prevention professional society guidelines, and hold a valid Certification in Infection Control (CIC). You must also demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, work collaboratively with hospital administration and diverse staff, and provide data-driven recommendations to support quality patient care.
