Job summary

Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, part of The Valley Health System, seeks an Infection Prevention Specialist to support surveillance and program maintenance across the hospital. The role requires a health sciences degree and 2–5 years clinical experience in a health-related field.

Current Nevada licensure in Nursing or Medical Laboratory Sciences is expected or eligibility to obtain the required certification within the program scope.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Clinical Microbiology or other health related science required.
• Master's in Nursing, Education, Epidemiology, Public Health or related health science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation and maintenance of the Infection Control Program's surveillance.
• Serve as a resource to all hospital departments on Infection Control projects.

Job Description

Responsible for assisting with implementation and maintenance of the Infection Control Program's hospital's surveillance. Serves as a resource to all hospital departments, participating in identified projects or groups related to Infection Control.

Qualifications

Education

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Clinical Microbiology or other health related science required. Master's in Nursing, Education, Epidemiology, Public Health, clinical Microbiology or other health related science, preferred.

Experience

Two (2) to five (5) years clinical experience in health related field required. One (1) year experience in Infection Prevention or epidemiology preferred.

Technical Skills

Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet and database.

License/Certification

Current State of Nevada license in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or other related health science if applicable. Eligible to become cert
