Job summary

Boulevard Rehabilitation Center is seeking an RN Infection Prevention Control Officer to join our nursing team in Boynton Beach, FL. The role focuses on preventing infections and educating staff within a long-term care and sub-acute setting.

Responsibilities include administering the IP program, managing testing schedules, and staying current with CDC/JCAHO guidelines. Eligible candidates hold ASN and RN licensure with 1+ years in related settings.

Qualifications

• ASN required and RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience in Infection Prevention and Control.
• IPCP training or IPCO certification within 5 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Infection Prevention and Control Program in a long-term care and sub-acute setting.
• Identify, investigate, report and prevent transmission of infections; manage testing schedules; educate staff on CDC updates.
• Serve as knowledge expert on CDC, Joint Commission, and Occupational Health standards in skilled nursing facilities.

Responsibilities of an Infection Prevention Control Officer:

• Be responsible for administering the Infection Prevention and Control Program in a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation / sub-acute care nursing center.
• Identify, investigate, report, prevent, and control the spread of acquired infections among residents, staff, and guests. You will manage and administer the centers COVID/Flu testing schedules as needed and educate staff on CDC updates, as well as ensure staff are educated in proper use of PPD.
• Serve as the center's knowledge specialist in CDC, Joint Commission, and Occupational Health standards, as well as federal and state regulations related to infection prevention and control in skilled nursing facilities

Qualifications for RN Infection Prevention Control:

• Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) required.
• RN Licensure in the state of practice
• Minimum one (1+) years nursing experience. Long-Term Care / Sub-Acute Care Nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in Infection Prevention and Control with knowledge of patient care practices.
• Completion of Infection Prevention training/IPCO Certification within 5 days of employment.

Pay Range

$38.50 through $42.00
