Job summary

Boulevard is seeking an Infection Prevention Control Officer to lead the Infection Prevention and Control Program at a long-term care and sub-acute care nursing center in Florida. You will identify and control infections, educate staff, and ensure CDC/JCI compliance to safeguard residents and staff.

The role requires an ASN in Nursing with RN licensure in Florida and IPC training completed within 5 days of hire, with 1+ year of nursing experience, preferably in LTC/Sub-Acute settings.

Qualifications

• ASN in nursing with RN licensure in Florida.
• Minimum 1+ year in nursing; LTC/Sub-acute preferred.
• Completed IPC training/IPCO certification within 5 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Infection Prevention and Control Program at a nursing center.
• Identify, investigate, report, prevent, and control infections; manage COVID/Flu testing schedules.
• Serve as knowledge specialist for CDC, Joint Commission, and Occupational Health standards.

Responsibilities of an Infection Prevention Control Officer:

• Be responsible for administering the Infection Prevention and Control Program in a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation / sub-acute care nursing center.
• Identify, investigate, report, prevent, and control the spread of acquired infections among residents, staff, and guests. You will manage and administer the centers COVID/Flu testing schedules as needed and educate staff on CDC updates, as well as ensure staff are educated in proper use of PPD.
• Serve as the center's knowledge specialist in CDC, Joint Commission, and Occupational Health standards, as well as federal and state regulations related to infection prevention and control in skilled nursing facilities

Qualifications for RN Infection Prevention Control:

• Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) required.
• RN Licensure in the state of practice
• Minimum one (1+) years nursing experience. Long-Term Care / Sub-Acute Care Nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in Infection Prevention and Control with knowledge of patient care practices.
• Completion of Infection Prevention training/IPCO Certification within 5 days of employment.
