Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking an Infection Prevention Associate to support routine monitoring, rounding, audits, and data-entry under Infection Preventionist oversight. This role enables certified IPs to focus on surveillance, risk assessment, and policy work in a pediatric hospital setting.

The position emphasizes structured mentoring, training, and collaboration with the Infection Prevention Unit to maintain regulatory readiness and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Interest in Certification in Infection Prevention via CBIC preferred.
• Less than one year of experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Completion of an Infection Prevention internship or practicum is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily infection prevention operations by structured tasks to promote regulatory readiness and safety.
• Perform rounds, audits, hand hygiene and PPE observations per standards.
• Document findings and escalate safety concerns to the Infection Preventionist.
