Job summary

Countryside Mental Health in Topeka, KS is seeking an Infection Control Nurse to strengthen our infection prevention program for patients and staff. You will develop policies, conduct surveillance of hospital-acquired infections, investigate breaches, and train staff on best practices.

This role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to uphold infection control guidelines, participate in quality improvement, and help maintain a safe, supportive environment for our mental health patients.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with Kansas licensure.
• Experience in infection control and/or nursing leadership.
• Strong knowledge of infection control principles and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain infection control policies, procedures, and standards.
• Conduct regular infection control audits and inspections.
• Identify and report potential infection control risks and incidents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement infection control plans.
• Provide education and training to staff on infection control best practices.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
