Job summary

Greene Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Catskill, NY is seeking a dedicated RN Staff Educator/Infection Control to promote excellence in infection control and staff education for our residents.

The Educator will develop protocols, conduct training, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, perform audits, and stay current with guidelines. A NY RN license and at least 3 years in hospital or long-term care are required.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an RN in NY.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in hospital or long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of infection control principles and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement infection control protocols to ensure resident and staff safety.
• Conduct staff education programs and training on infection control practices and policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address infection control issues.
• Perform audits and inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain infection control policies and procedures manuals.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve infection control and patient outcomes.
• Stay current with evolving infection control guidelines and regulations.
