Job summary

ISHR is seeking an RN for Infection Control and Prevention in Sanford, NC, reporting in-person to a specified location. The role focuses on identifying, preventing, and controlling healthcare-associated infections in line with CDC guidelines and JCAHO standards.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in a healthcare field, an active NC RN license (or compact state), and demonstrates BLS from AHA; three to five years' clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field is required.
• Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state).
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive infection control practices in healthcare settings.
• Investigates and reports healthcare associated infections (HAIs).
• Develops prevention strategies and educates staff on infection prevention.
• Reviews infection control policies and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Communicates infection control activities to administration and committees.
• Collaborates with staff nurses to monitor infection trends and outbreaks.
• Assists with quality improvement projects related to infection control.
