Country Drive Post Acute is seeking a licensed RN or LVN with at least 1 year of nursing experience to lead infection prevention and control efforts. The role focuses on building and maintaining an infection surveillance program, data collection for surveillance, and collaboration with the IDT and QAPI committees.

Responsibilities include educating residents and families on precautions, overseeing immunizations, and assisting in budgeting for infection prevention activities.

Qualifications

• Institutional requirement: licensed RN or LVN with at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Infection prevention experience (1-2 years minimum) is strongly preferred.
• IP certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and ensure nursing services personnel follow infection prevention and control practices and aseptic techniques for residents.
• Establish and maintain an infection surveillance program based on standard infection definitions.
• Develop and monitor data collection tools for process and outcome surveillance.
• Assist the Director of Environmental Services in guidelines for environmental cleaning and disinfection.
• Review, summarize and report data related to infection prevention initiatives including antibiotic stewardship and outbreaks.
• Conduct investigations on new or significant infection trends or communicable diseases.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in budgeting for infection prevention and control programs.
• Assist all departments in evaluating tasks involving exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Educate residents and family on standard and transmission-based precautions.
• Oversee tracking and immunizations for staff and residents; order vaccine inventories.
• Participate in Infection Prevention and Control Committee and QAPI meetings; implement committee recommendations.

Salary Range $87,360 -$93,600

• Candidates must be a licensed RN or LVN with at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Prior Infection Prevention experience (1-2 years minimum) is strongly preferred. IP certification required.
• Monitor and ensure that all nursing services personnel follow established infection prevention and control practices and aseptic techniques when caring for residents.
• Establish and maintain an infection surveillance program that is based on standardized definitions of infections.
• Establish, implement and monitor data collection tools for process and outcome surveillance.
• Assist the Director of Environmental Services in developing and implementing guidelines for environmental cleaning and disinfection.
• Review, summarize and report data relative to key infection prevention and control initiatives including antibiotic stewardship, healthcare acquired infections, immunization programs and outbreaks.
• Conduct special investigations pertaining to new or significant trends in infections or communicable diseases.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in preparing the budget for infection prevention and control programs and activities.
• Assist all departments in evaluating and classifying routine and job-related functions to ensure that tasks involving exposure to blood/body fluids are properly identified.
• Educate residents and family members on standard and transmission-based precautions.
• Assist and oversee the tracking, administering and recordkeeping of required employee immunizations and recommended resident immunizations.
• Order inventories of vaccines to be administered to staff and residents in a timely manner.
• Serve on, participate in and attend Infection Prevention and Control Committee, Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee and interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings as requested or indicated.
