Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Tomoka Correctional Institution team in Daytona Beach, Florida. The LPN will provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the supervision of RNs and medical staff.

The position covers day shift, with a pay rate of $29–$32/hr and a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants must hold a Florida LPN license and CPR certification, with the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Florida LPN license or ability to obtain one
• CPR certification required
• Corrections experience not required
• Ability to obtain security clearance (drug screen and background check)

Responsibilities

• Develop and update policies and procedures related to infection control
• Ensure infection control practices align with policies and standards
• Maintain isolation techniques to prevent spread of infection
• Coordinate with healthcare, laboratory, security, and state/local agencies
• Assist in outbreak response and containment
• Participate in quality improvement activities
• Educate staff and patients on infectious disease and prevention
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on treatment plans and continuity of care
• Share knowledge with peers and delegate tasks as needed
• Maintain current clinical knowledge and professional boundaries
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and safety within the facility
