At The Goddard School of Hazlet, we are seeking an Infant Teacher to nurture our youngest learners in a warm, supportive classroom.

You will provide responsive care for 6 weeks to 18 months, plan gentle activities, maintain a clean environment, and build strong relationships with families while collaborating with a caring team.

Qualifications

• Background working with infants (6 weeks to 18 months) in a licensed or structured setting.
• Formal training in Early Childhood Education or related field (CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s).
• Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team in a family-centered school culture.

About You

You are a caring and experienced early childhood professional who:

• Has a strong background working with infants (6 weeks to 18 months), ideally with 1 or more year in a licensed or structured childcare setting
• Preferred: Holds formal training in Early Childhood Education or a related field (CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree)
• Is passionate about fostering secure attachments and creating a consistent, nurturing environment where infants can thrive
• Communicates clearly, works well as part of a team, and contributes to a collaborative, family-centered school culture

What You’ll Do

As an Infant Teacher at our school, you will:

• Provide responsive, attentive care and routines that support each infant’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs
• Plan and implement gentle, age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, and early social interaction
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages comfort and discovery
• Build trusting relationships with families, sharing daily updates and developmental progress
