Job summary

The DC Army National Guard seeks Infantry Soldiers to serve as the backbone of the Army, trained to attack, repel, and hold ground with advanced weapons and tactics. You’ll gain leadership, teamwork, and discipline through challenging missions and community responses.

You will train to earn while you learn with paid training and tuition assistance, including 14 weeks of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, while serving part-time and supporting civilian life.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• MOS assignment may depend on MOS availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including engaging targets using night vision sights.
• Operate and maintain communications equipment.
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons.
