Job summary

Child Start is actively recruiting for multiple openings in early Head Start classrooms serving children ages 0-3, with full-time career opportunities across Sedgwick County, KS. This role involves hands-on early childhood care and development in a dynamic setting.

A successful candidate will assess child development, plan weekly lessons, and continuously review the curriculum to support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Commuting to El Dorado, KS is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Within 1 year of hire, obtain Infant/Toddler CDA (scholarships available).
• Relevant experience with infants and toddlers is required.

Responsibilities

• Encourage children to try new learning activities.
• Assess each child's development initially and update assessments throughout the year.
• Review curriculum and write weekly lesson plans incorporating all areas of child development.
