Job summary

A leading childcare provider in South Orange is seeking an Infant - Toddler Teacher to create a nurturing environment for children. The role includes developing age-appropriate lessons and supporting emotional growth. Full-time and part-time positions are available, offering flexibility and professional development. Applicants should be physically capable of lifting children and engaging in outdoor activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education is preferred.
• Ability to create age-appropriate lessons.
• Strong communication skills to foster relationships with families.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the classroom.
• Create age-appropriate lessons aligned with High scope Curriculum.
• Support social and emotional development & provide positive guidance.
• Establish positive & productive relationship with families & staff.
• Ensure that children are well-cared for throughout the day.
• Maintain a commitment to professionalism at all times.
• Work with families and assess the individual needs of each child.
• Be able to physically lift and possibly carry a 40 lbs child (as needed).
• Be able to walk about 30 minutes around the neighboring park with children in strollers.
• Comply and abide by the program and state/local officials' policies.
