Job summary

Valleydale Baptist Church’s Valleydale Early Learning Center seeks an Infant–Two-year-old teacher to create a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom. You will support mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual growth through structured activities and bible-based instruction.

Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate lessons, supervising daily routines, maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere, and partnering with families.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of age-appropriate activities and child development practices.
• Knowledge of safety requirements pertaining to young children.
• Knowledge of Bible stories and songs.
• Understanding of values-based instruction aligned with a Christian environment.

Responsibilities

• Arrive to work, meetings, and trainings promptly.
• Display professionalism in punctuality, mannerisms, and attire according to the Code of Conduct.
• Develop and present appropriate lesson plans.
• Submit lesson plans, calendars, and supply list monthly.
• Supervise all classroom and daily routine activities.
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with parents and other staff members.
• Treat children in a positive manner that encourages individuality and positive self-esteem.
• Introduce alphabet and numbers 1-10.
• Teach shapes and colors.
• Teach Bible story and verse daily.
• Teach monthly core values outlined in the teachers manual.
• Help with assigned carpool duties.
• Replace items from the resource room daily.
• Leave classroom clean and orderly.
