Job summary

Centro de la Familia seeks an Infant Toddler Teacher to nurture and educate our youngest learners in a supportive setting. You will create engaging activities and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum to foster holistic growth.

You will collaborate with mentors and teachers, maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness, and support families through regular communication and home visits. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Food Handler’s permit required within one month of hire.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Ability to work with children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Create a captivating classroom environment for toddlers using best early childhood practices.
• Plan and execute daily activities to support physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and language development.

• Caregiving Support: Comfortably and safely assist with physical caregiving tasks, including lifting children, changing diapers, feeding infants with bottles, and sitting on the floor during activities or circle time.

Qualifications

Possession of the Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is required, along with additional experience and training dedicated to the world of toddlers. Exceptions may be made for those who demonstrate the potential to work with infants and toddlers, pledging to attain the Infant/Toddler CDA within six months of joining our enchanted guild.

Skills

Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler’s permit required within one month of hire. Must be able to work with children with special needs and children with limited or no English. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
