A Place to Grow Three Rivers Wingate NC is seeking a Lead Teacher to educate children in a nature-based setting. You will manage classrooms, develop curriculum, and foster hands-on, experiential learning in a peaceful outdoor-inspired environment.

What You'll Do

The role of Lead Teacher provides an opportunity to use your superior skills and knowledge as an educator. You will use your skills in classroom management, early learning standards, curriculum development and communication to manage the needs of the children in your classroom.

Requirements Prior to Hire

• 18 years old
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Negative TB Test
• Medical Report/Heath Questionnaire
• Fingerprinting and a Background check are required (we pay the fee)

Training Requirements After Hire

1. Complete First Aid and CPR training within the first 90 days after hire (We pay the fee)
2. NC DHHS Trainings (Paid Training!)
3. Between 5-20 hours are required per year based on the applicant’s position, education level and years of verifiable experience.

Strong preference is given to candidates with at least 9 credits in ECE. Candidates with a degree in alternative fields are also welcomed! Class of 2024 College Graduates are encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Candidates should have good written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in early childhood education -or-
• Completion of EDU 119 -or-
• Child Development Associate (CDA) certification -or-
• NCECAC Level I Certification
