Job summary

Qualifications

• CDA with Infant-Toddler Endorsement required or obtained within 18 months of hire
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Demonstrated beginner to intermediate computer proficiency
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Prior documented work or volunteer experience in a center or home-based childcare program required
• Prior documented work or volunteer experience in an infant/toddler program preferred

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a well-organized, safe, clean, learning environment conducive to children's growth
• Observe and document each child's learning and development; maintain weekly documentation in the electronic student portfolio
• Maintain a confidential assessment binder with developmental assessments and progress toward goals
• Supervise children during all activities per Active Supervision Policy
• Involve parents and families in their children's educational process
• Establish positive relationships with each child's family and communicate regularly via home/center visits and reports
• Complete quarterly assessment checkpoints and family conferences
• Ensure full IFSP implementation and inclusion of children with disabilities
• Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development activities
• Work some non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends as assigned
