Job summary

Broward Schools is seeking a Child Development Associate (Grant/Special Funding) to support the health, safety and development of infants, toddlers and three-year-olds in Broward County Public Schools. The role involves collaboration with staff and families to foster learning and well-being.

The position requires Florida CDA credential or higher (or an associate degree with infant/toddler coursework), plus ongoing education as required by funding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or satisfactory completion of a GED.
• Must hold and maintain a valid State of Florida CDA credential or equivalent with a focus on infant and toddler development per Head Start Performance Standards.
• Or an earned associate's degree or higher with coursework in infant and toddler development per Head Start Performance Standards.
• If required by the program funding source, complete any mandated continuing education within the specified time frame to maintain active employment in the position.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive care and supervision for infants, toddlers, and three-year-olds in alignment with program standards.
• Support developmentally appropriate activities and routines that promote screening, observation, and documentation of child development.
• Collaborate with program staff and families to support children's learning and wellbeing.
