The Goddard School of Livingston, NJ is seeking a motivated and caring Assistant Teacher. You will support the Lead Teacher by implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and helping create a safe, stimulating classroom where children thrive.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma (ECE preferred), experience with young children, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The school offers benefits and opportunities for growth in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; ECE degree preferred.
• Experience with young children in licensed setting.
• Pass state background checks and meet education/credential requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Assist Lead Teacher with age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, inviting learning space.
• Supervise children and provide individualized support.
• Communicate with families about progress and daily activities.
• Follow health, safety and licensing regulations.
• Support daily care routines to nurture learning environment.
