Job summary

Tri-Valley Opportunity Council in Bethel, MN seeks an Infant/Toddler Teacher to lead a Head Start classroom, plan activities, and collaborate with families to support young children’s development. Qualifications

• Demonstrated competency to provide nurturing teacher-child interactions and implement learning experiences that promote progress.
• Comfortable working with computers, willing and able to learn program specific systems.
• Educational and experience requirements per Head Start Performance Standards and MN Rule 3 Teacher Qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans a daily schedule and weekly lesson plan with varied opportunities for school readiness.
• Plans and implements learning experiences that advance intellectual and physical development.
• Tends to children's personal hygiene needs, including diaper changes and feeding.
• Promotes social and emotional development.
• Conducts parent conferences and home visits.
• Maintains and documents communication with families.
• Conducts developmental screenings and ongoing assessments.
• Ensures safe, clean classroom and adheres to safety policies.
