Job summary

Charlotte County Public Schools is seeking an Early Childhood Caregiver at Baker Pre-K Center 0062 in Punta Gorda, FL. The role involves developmental activities for infants and toddlers, maintaining safe classrooms, engaging families, and collaborating with community partners.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• CDA/FCCPC or 1-year infant-toddler/EHS experience with willingness to obtain within one year.
• Complete Florida DCF Introductory Childcare Training or willingness to obtain within one year.
• Experience working with infants and toddlers.
• Pass health screening including TB test per Head Start standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop instructional plans and individualized activities for infants and toddlers.
• Maintain learning environments meeting health and safety standards.
• Collect and use child development assessment data.
• Engage families via conferences and home visits.
• Meet state and federal record-keeping requirements.
• Support prescribed student behavior and learning plans.
• Supervise classroom volunteers and interns.
• Communicate with staff and partnering agencies.
• Perform duties to ensure student safety and environmental hygiene.
