The Goddard School of Overland Park (Metcalf) in Overland Park, KS is seeking an energetic and caring Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging programs and a safe, stimulating classroom environment.

You will help implement age-appropriate lessons, foster children’s growth, and communicate with families about daily activities. Training, a collaborative team, and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Formación

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Works productively without supervision
• Basic understanding of child development
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment
