Job description

Certified Infant Teacher

Early Childhood Education | Childcare | Daycare | Full-Time | Pembroke, MA

Join a Place Where Hugs, First Smiles, and Milestone Moments Matter Every Day!

Are you a nurturing, patient, and passionate caregiver who loves helping infants grow, explore, and thrive? We're looking for a dedicated EEC Certified Infant Teacher to join our warm, welcoming early childhood education center in Pembroke — where every coo, giggle, and developmental milestone is celebrated. If you\'re an experienced infant teacher, infant/toddler teacher, or early childhood educator who loves the 6 weeks–15 months age group, we\'d love to meet you.

At our center, you\'ll be part of a supportive team that values connection, compassion, and curiosity. You\'ll provide loving, responsive care in a safe, enriching environment designed to help our littlest learners feel secure, soothed, and stimulated. From tummy time to first steps, you\'ll play an important role in shaping a child\'s earliest experiences and building the foundation for lifelong learning.

As an Infant Teacher with us in Pembroke, you\'ll contribute to a setting that emphasizes care, growth, and collaboration without compromising the developmental needs of each child.

You\'ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • EEC Infant Toddler Certification or CDA required
  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting
  • A nurturing demeanor and a love for infants and their development
  • A minimum of one year of experience working in an infant classroom, practicing safe feeding/sleeping, diapering, sanitation, and sensory and motor development support

Some requirements of the role include:

  • Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
  • Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset

As an Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with your co-teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, and materials
  • Providing responsive, individualized care that supports each infant\'s development through gentle, age-appropriate activities
  • Keeping parents informed and building positive relationships with children and families
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly classroom environment
  • Assisting with daily routines, including bottles, meals, diapering, and naptime, tailored to each infant\'s individual feeding and sleeping schedule
