Job summary

Magical Beginnings Learning Centers is seeking an Infant Teacher to provide loving, responsive care in a warm early childhood setting. You will support infants’ early experiences, helping with feeding, sleeping, diapering, and developmentally appropriate activities.

The role requires a friendly, patient caregiver with at least one year in an infant classroom and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Join a team that values collaboration, safety, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • EEC Infant Toddler Certification or CDA required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in an infant classroom, including feeding, sleeping, diapering, sanitation, and sensory/motor development support.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for up to 90% of the workday.
  • Flexibility to work an 8‑hour shift, including opening and closing duties.
  • Strong time‑management, attentiveness, and a team‑focused mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with your co‑teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and appealing classroom, including cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing the space for the next day.
  • Engage infants during free play, outdoor time, and activities; supervise and zone during these periods.
  • Support feeding, sleeping, diapering, and naptime; adhere to individual feeding and sleeping schedules.
  • Assist with bathroom needs, bottle and meal preparation, and monitor children during these times.
  • Track children’s progress and complete assessments.
  • Maintain required professional development hours and PQ registry.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and participate in team building activities and school community outreach projects.
  • Communicate with parents through Class Dojo and classroom boards
