Infant Program Supervisor

The Infant Program Supervisor provides leadership and daily oversight of the infant program, creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants while supporting teachers and building strong relationships with families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the daily operations of the infant classrooms.
- Coach, mentor, and model best practices for infant teaching staff.
- Maintain Colorado licensing requirements, staff-to-child ratios, safe-sleep practices, and health and safety standards.
- Support responsive caregiving and developmentally appropriate infant curriculum.
- Ensure accurate documentation of feeding, diapering, sleeping, attendance, and developmental needs.
- Build positive, professional relationships with families and provide consistent communication.
- Support staff scheduling, classroom coverage, onboarding, training, and professional development.
- Partner with Y Academy leadership to maintain program quality, licensing compliance, enrollment, and a strong team culture.
Qualifications
- Must meet Colorado Department of Early Childhood requirements for an Infant Program Supervisor.
- Maintain an active Colorado Shines PDIS profile with required qualifications, credentials, training, and professional development documented.
- Meet applicable Early Childhood Professional Credential and/or education and experience requirements established by Colorado child care licensing.
- Infant/toddler education, training, and experience required according to the applicable Colorado qualification pathway.
- Current required certifications and training, including CPR/First Aid and other state-required health and safety training.
- Strong knowledge of infant development, responsive caregiving, safe sleep, licensing, and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, communicate, and build relationships with staff and families.
