Job summary

The Santa Barbara County Education Office in Lompoc, CA is seeking an Assistant Teacher, Early Care and Education to support a site and assist the Associate Teacher/Site Supervisor in providing direct care to infant-to-preschool aged children. This full-time position offers a pay range of $34,836 to $42,482 annually, eligibility for stipends for a MA or Doctorate, and a 186-day, 10-month work year.

Qualifications

• Possession of or eligible to obtain a valid Assistant Teacher, Early Care and Education Permit.
• Experience and/or training appropriate to fulfill requirements of the position.
• Infant/toddler/preschool training and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct care for infants to preschoolers.
• Support the Associate Teacher/Site Supervisor in daily operations at the site or child care facility.
• Maintain safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate learning environments.
