Job summary

The J Los Angeles ECC is hiring an Infant Care Assistant Teacher to join a new ICC serving 18 infants and toddlers. You will work with a Lead Teacher to support daily routines, safety, and a play-based, Judaic-inspired curriculum in a warm, inclusive setting.

This full-time, non-exempt position requires Title 22 education units, Pediatric First Aid/CPR, and California licensing familiarity. On-site in Los Angeles, strong teamwork and family communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ postsecondary semester units in ECE/CD with passing grades.
• Active enrollment in accredited ECE/CD program with min 2 units/term.
• For infant/toddler placement, 3 units must be Infant/Toddler focused.
• Must be 18 years or older and pass Title 22 background checks.
• Completion of health/safety training and pediatric first aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children and families to support relationships and collaboration.
• Support Lead Teacher with daily routines, transitions, and activities.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom and assist with materials.
• Document care routines and contribute observations for family communications.
• Attend staff meetings and participate as a cooperative team member.
