Job summary

Hire Up Recruiting is seeking an Assistant Infant Teacher for a premier preschool in Troy, MI. The role supports infants from 6 weeks to 1 year with a nurturing, responsive approach to development.

This is a full-time, year-round position with a schedule of 9:00am–6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, depending on education, credentials, and ECE experience. Benefits include PTO, holidays, discounts, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have experience caring for infants in a licensed ECE facility.
• Ability to respond to cues with warmth and sensitivity.
• Strong communication with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing environment for infants; support comfort and development.
• Plan age-appropriate sensory experiences and activities.
• Maintain developmental records and portfolios.
• Supervise infants with age-appropriate play and routines.
• Keep classroom clean and sanitized; follow safe sleep practices.
• Monitor health and safety; respond to individual needs.
• Communicate with parents about daily activities and milestones.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure consistent care.
• Participate in trainings and staff meetings to stay updated.
