Job summary

Jennmar Services in Hillsboro, IL is hiring for an Inexp Coal Miner to work in underground coal mining. This full-time position offers hourly pay from $20.00 to $22.00 and a benefits package after introductory periods.

Both experienced and inexperienced miners are welcome; a 40-hour MSHA training is required or available; flexibility for weekends/holidays; physical stamina and ability to work long shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have 40-hour MSHA training or be able to obtain it.
• Must have 2 forms of ID.
• Ability to work 8–12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks in the underground mine.
• Operate scoops and perform roller and screen changes.
• Set steel supports and manage overcasts.
• Prepare seals and manage pumpable cribs.
• Operate jacks as required.

PAY RATES

$20.00 (Inexperienced) to $22.00 (Experienced)

Job Responsibilities for Experienced (Black Hat) and Inexperienced (Green Hat) Miners:

• General labor
• Roller and screen changes
• Steel sets
• Overcasts
• Jacks
• Seal preparation
• Pumpable cribs
• Scoop operating

Job Requirements for Experienced and Inexperienced Miners:

• 40-hour MSHA training
• 2 forms of ID
• Ability to work any shifts, including weekends and holidays required.
• Must have the physical ability to work 8 to 12-hour shifts
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background check, drug screen, physical exam)
