Job description

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM where humans and agents drive customer success together. This role seeks a senior advisory professional to serve as the bridge between Salesforce’s security capabilities and the CISO/InfoSec community, engaging executive‑level security leaders and accelerating trust in Salesforce Trusted Services solutions.

The Role

As Salesforce’s CISO Advisor & Field CTO for Trusted Services you bring deep IT cybersecurity and compliance leadership to client engagements. You work across field sales, product strategy, partner ecosystem, and thought leadership, operating at the intersection of customer needs and Salesforce’s security roadmap. The role requires roughly 30‑40% travel.

What You’ll Do
  • Engage directly with CISOs, CIOs, and InfoSec leaders to understand their security priorities beyond the immediate Salesforce context.
  • Articulate Salesforce platform and AI security controls in language that resonates with security leaders, referencing frameworks such as NIST, SOX, DORA, and NYDFS.
  • Guide customers toward future‑state security postures, positioning security as a catalyst for Agentforce adoption.
  • Educate Salesforce platform owners and architects on necessary security controls and act as the bridge between Salesforce and IT/InfoSec professionals.
  • Conduct discovery of enterprise security policies, procedures, and systems to uncover critical gaps, including identity and access management, integration security, event log monitoring, AI governance, and data lifecycle management.
  • Lead multi‑customer security roundtables, executive dinners, and industry conference sessions to drive Salesforce and AI governance thought leadership in the CISO community.
Deal Support & Pipeline Acceleration
  • Support high‑complexity, high‑value security opportunities by engaging as a technical and strategic executive sponsor with CISO stakeholders.
  • Guide customers through security evaluations, architectural decisions, and Salesforce Trusted Services positioning.
  • Collaborate across account teams to develop security‑led strategies that close complex deals.
Technical Thought Leadership & Content Development
  • Develop and deliver original cybersecurity frameworks and content such as "Bridging the InfoSec SaaS Divide" and "Securing Agentic AI" through blogs, whitepapers, and conference presentations.
  • Create an automated unified methodology for Salesforce security assessments.
  • Serve as a guest speaker and subject‑matter expert for internal product, engineering, and partner enablement programs.
  • Publish external technical content that positions Salesforce as a credible voice in enterprise cybersecurity.
Product Feedback & Internal Collaboration
  • Translate customer security concerns into actionable product insights for Salesforce product and engineering teams.
  • Participate in Customer Advisory Boards.
Internal Enablement & Field Readiness
  • Enable the broader field organization on how to navigate CISO conversations and position Salesforce security solutions.
  • Contribute to Trailhead LMS modules, SE/SA AMA sessions, and security enablement programs.
  • Develop and curate security enablement content for internal product‑management collaboration.
Partner & Ecosystem Engagement
  • Build and activate partner ecosystems to scale security delivery.
  • Represent Salesforce in CISO‑to‑partner conversations and collaborate on joint thought leadership.
What We’re Looking For
  • 15+ years of IT cybersecurity leadership, consulting, or analyst experience, including direct CISO or senior InfoSec roles.
  • Cutting‑edge AI governance and security experience and thought leadership.
  • Fluency in enterprise security frameworks and regulations such as NIST, SOX, DORA, NYDFS, CMMC, and related compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, and conference presentations.
  • Strong familiarity with the SaaS security ecosystem, including SSPM and SIEM platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce security architecture and products.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue influence and pipeline acceleration through executive‑level security engagement.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex internal corporate structures with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strategic advisor mindset: customer‑first, active listening, collaborative, and deeply passionate about raising the bar on enterprise security.
  • Willingness to travel for in‑person executive engagements and events.
Why Join Us?

You will occupy one of the most strategically impactful advisory roles in Salesforce’s field organization, driving revenue and shaping how leading enterprises view Salesforce and enterprise AI security. You will build thought leadership that defines industry conversations and help customers protect their most critical data and operations.
